About the Item
Folk art desk barrel box.
Very unusual piece of folk art, created around the 1930. This is a mechanical desk barrel box carved in wood and decorated with painting. Shown a man dressed in a tuxedo and a hat smoking a cigarette which rest over a barrel. The way to open is pushing down the tail of the tuxedo as illustrated, see pictures.
Material: Carved wood and polychrome paint.
Weight: 177.95 Grams, (0.39 Pounds).
Measurements: 165 mm by 76 mm by 146 mm (6.50 x 3 x 5.75 Inches).
Condition: The overall condition of this box is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the wood. All parts are secured and has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
