Pair of 18th Century Wig Boxes

About the Item

Rare pair of wig boxes. Regency period. Decoration (in symmetry on both) of chinoiseries on a black lacquered background (Vernis Martin). Very elegant shape, reversed cove lid. the traditionally red interior. The hinges and keyholes as always in cut and engraved gilded brass.
