About the Item

This is a beautiful French rectangular silver plated Jewelry casket, circa 1820 in date. The brass casket is fitted with five high relief panels made of silver plated copper. The hinged lid opens to reveal a brass interior. The panels with bacchanalian scenes and cherubs, the silver plate with signs of wear allows the copper to show through in a beautiful way. It is a lovely piece which will make an unforgettable gift. Condition: In excellent original condition, with signs of wear commensurate with age, please see photos for confirmation.
