19th Century English Victorian Cormandel Mother of Pearl Tea Caddy, circa 1850

About the Item

English Victorian cormandel tea caddy decorated with mother of pearl and brass studs, circa 1850s. Cormandel was considered one of the most luxurious woods and only used on the finest of pieces, now extremely rare to find. Original hand tooled leather and silver pewter foiled. Only a small portion of the original silver pewter foil remains.
