Antique Shell Inlaid Harewood Tea Caddy, 18th Century

About

Antique octagonal harewood tea caddy with beautiful inlaid conch shell ovals to the front and top and satinwood ovals to the sides. With fluted boxwood and faded green sycamore cants on all four sides and bone diamond shape escutcheon. The interior features a single lidded compartment with turned bone handle. This tea caddy comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The lock is a standard turn clockwise to unlock.
