Fine 18th Century George III Period Satinwood and Padouk Inlaid Tea Chest

About

The West Indian satinwood caddy is fitted with the original silver handle and is inlaid with padouk and crossbanded and inset with oval panels throughout. The hinged top opens to reveal two glass tea canisters fitted with the original side caps. The interior is lined and is possibly unchanged from the day of manufacture. The chest is in excellent condition and one of the finest we have owned.
