Rosewood 18th Century Oblong Tea Caddy
A very attractive late 18th century rosewood oblong shaped tea caddy with satinwood strung mouldings, original brass hinges and working key (Tea was a precious commodity in the 18th century and tea caddies were used to both preserve the tea leaves, but also to lock it away and protect it from any wandering hands.
