About the Item

A Good Pair of 19th C French Bronze Candlesticks in the form of Chinese Figures A most unusual good quality French bronze candlesticks in the form of 18th-century Chinese male figures dressed in traditional costume and holding up torchieres which are finished with fluted candle holders with separate sconces. The figures stand on circular stepped bases which are decorated with bands of interwoven dragons. Circa 1870. Dimensions: W 11 cm (4.3") x D 11 cm (4.3") x H 35 cm (13.8").
