In this listing you will find a striking pair of WMF Ikora candleholders, designed in a beautifully streamlined Art Deco manner. Each candleholder is formed with a low, elongated oval base, from which sweeping curved arms rise to support four circular candle dishes with central prickets. The design has a distinctly modernist, aerodynamic quality, balancing sculptural movement with elegant symmetry. The polished metal surface reflects the refined character associated with WMF’s Ikora production, while the broad, boat-shaped bases give the pieces a strong decorative presence. The pair shows age-related wear, including surface scratches, tarnish, rubbing, and areas of loss or darkening to the finish, particularly visible on one base. These signs of use are consistent with age and add to the original vintage character of the pieces.
