About the Item

Pair of 19th century Victorian bronze and Ormolu figural candlesticks. Period Victorian deeply embossed bronze and ormolu candlesticks. This pair of the most beautiful and elegant English candleholders features an early impression of American Indians. Each holds a spear in the right hand and is dressed in robes with feather plumage headdress. The bronze is excellently modeled and masterfully cast. Both figures are mounted on a rectangular white marble 2-tiered plinth with ormolu molding. The candlesticks are in fine condition. Wear commensurate with age and use. Measurements: H 12.5” W 7.25” x D 5” Weight: 6.5 lbs. each.
