English 19th Century Silver Plated Three-Light Candelabrum
This nice pair of silver plated candelabrum made in England circa 1840-1850 are of great scale and form. While open and light the decorative elements are heavy and post neoclassical being primarily of acanthus leaves in a repetitive pattern. This leaf pattern set against the large flat areas of undecorated silver create a rich play of positive and negative space. The pieces completely disassemble down to large single sticks or are usable as three-light candelabra. Lastly please note image nine which shows full English standard hallmarks.
