Swedish 19th Century Floor Clock with Linear Body and Pewter Ring Face

About

A Swedish 19th century long case clock. This Swedish clock features a linear body with an arched crown and exquisitely decorated face including pewter ring and both roman and traditional numerals, as well as intricate gilded ornaments in the corners. This clock retains it's original metal face, hands and movement. In the upper section of the face, amidst the same gilded decor, a medallion is inserted with the name Peter Lindman Arboga. The face is undeniably the focal point of the clock. The rest of the body features very clean, straight and simple lines. The door on the belly opens from left to right. The clock is raised on a scalloped base. The color is an overall green-grey and highlighted in a lighter, neutral color on the trim. This clock would work really well adorning a wall in a living room, dining room or perhaps an office. This clock would be wonderful as a decorative object and is not currently in working condition, but can be quartzed to keep perfect time, for an additional cost. A quartz battery would then be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands, similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off even though the sound is quite delightful.).
