Antique 19thc French 8 Day Bell Striking Red Shell & Inlaid Boulle Mantle Clock

About the Item

A superb quality French boulle tortoishell mantel clock. Red ground with fretted brass boulle inlay. The front glazed panel with a visible Louis IV pendulum. Gilt bronze case mounts and surmounted by a finial. white porcelain dial. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and half hours on a gong. French C.1900.
