Antique French Bronze Dore 3 Piece Clock Set Cherubs Putti After Clodion Ca 1860

A beautifully detailed three piece clock garniture; in Porcelain with a bronze dore finish, after the model by Clodion. 19th Century The clock featuring five young bacchante figures, An original blue enamel metal globe containing movement, dial with Roman hours and curved snake hands. The figures some holding musical instruments are are dancing. The superbly painted blue porcelain base have putti painted on them. Clock size - Height: 12.5 inches by 13 inches wide, 7 1/4 inches deep The matching candelabra size - 13 inches Tall. Presented in superb condition and ready to display.

    A fully all over engraved gilt bronze carriage clock geneve circa 1870 and retailed in London by Aubert & Klaftenberger. The gorge case of characteristic design, profusely engraved to all sides with foliate scrolls and flowers on a matted ground, the signed Roman enamel dial with moon hands and subsidiary alarm within a gilt mask with conforming decoration, the signed two train spring barrel movement with lever platform escapement, striking the hour and half hour on a bell. 14.5cm (5.75ins) high with handle down, 9.5cm (3.75ins) wide, 8.5cm (3.375ins) deep. History: Aubert & Klaftenberger. The highly regarded retailer of clocks, watches silverware and objet d'art, Charles Ignaz Klaftenberger, was born in 1802 and entered into partnership with D.F.
