Impressive Empire Period, Bronze Gilded Pendulum Clock, Stockholm

About the Item

Stunning and majestic in its size and proportion, Empire Period Pendulum Clock, made in Stockholm (1810-1835) Sculpted, bronze-gilded clock featuring flanking cornucopia and crowned by stylized birds. Pendulum and key included. Maker was well known in Stockholm and received a bursary on November 6, 1810 and is mentioned in the Hallrättsberättelserna 1810-1835. Damage in last picture is being restored. Measures: Height ca 88 cm (34.75 inches) Width ca 60 cm (23.5 inches).
