About the Item

A Louis XVI ormolu-mounted black and white marble mantel clock by Thiéry, Paris. Thiery Paris, late 18th century. The drumcase containing the white enamel dial signed Thiéry à Paris, with arabic numerals, surmounted by flower-swags and a floral finial with flanked gilt bronze mounted Jasperware plaques. The shaped columns mounted with flowering trails, on empire feet. The movement with a silk-suspended sunburst pendulum, outside a count wheel, strike on a bell.
