XL Industrial Gents of Leicester Railway Station Factory Wall Clock
About the Item
- An incredibly rare single sided Gents' of Leicester station clock of huge proportion, English circa 1940.
- A very heavy solid black outer casing with original backplate featuring three lugs for affixing to the wall.
- The clock has maintained its original hands, the iconic Gent Of Leicester logo sits in the middle of the white face and is in a beautiful condition.
- Fitted with new 4mm toughened glass which looks incredible.
- The clock has maintained its original movement and runs electrically, rewired and PAT tested.
- Width 96.5cm, Depth 18cm.
Gents' of Leicester also known as Gents & Company Limited was established in Leicester, England in 1872 by John Thomas Gent. For over a century, the company was a well-known manufacturer of electrical equipment, in particular, its electric clocks, which were used in public buildings and railway stations all over the world.
