Jaeger “Rue de la Paix” desk clock, France, ca. 1960

About the Item

Jaeger “Rue de la Paix” Desk Clock, France, ca. 1960 Original decorative clock in the shape of a Parisian lantern, made of dark green enameled metal with gold details. The dial, with Roman numerals and ornate hands, bears the Jaeger signature. On the front, the classic blue “Rue de la Paix” plaque evokes the famous Parisian street associated with fine jewelry. It shows slight, even wear to the enamel, consistent with its age, which enhances its original character. Apart from this cosmetic detail, the piece is in perfect overall condition. Swiss-made manual winding mechanism with regulator visible on the back. A mid-20th-century collector's clock, representative of post-war French design and the urban elegance of the era.
