A Swiss oval desk clock, made by Michel-Ange Plojoux, Genève
The dial flanked by a painted Swiss lakeside landscape (signed) behind facet cut glass and has Arabic numeral. An 8 jours clock with balance wheel escapement The clock is numbered with 14105 and 1775 Marked with M.A. Plojoux (Michel-Ange Plojoux), Genève. At the back a rocaille easel. 1 screw is missing on the back and shows some traces of use
The height is 7 cm, the width is 9 cm and 5 cm deep standing.
The weight is 300 grams
M. A. Plojoux was established at 30, Rue du Rhône in Geneva. He was a watchmaker of high precision, specialized in complication watches, and jewellery. He received two awards at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1878, won a gold medal in 1880 and also took part in the Geneva National Exhibition in 1896.
