Vintage Industrial English Clock Dial Face, Fully Working
About the Item
A lovely painted dial by the National Time Recorder Co Ltd of London. Recovered from a derelict industrial building it has scars of its hard working life with glorious original flaky paint, old over-paint, varnish and old rust. Bearing witness to many years of workers lives.
The original heavy cast iron frame hangs on the wall and supports the dial.
Originally the dial of the factory master regulator clock, most of the clock was missing. Our clockmaker has skillfully fitted a battery quartz movement for ease and reliability while retaining the original bronze hands and hand nut and also the winding shafts.
The Diameter is 10" and the clock sits 1.75" from the wall.

- Condition:Repaired: A fully working battery quartz movement has been carefully fitted. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. Dial has flaking paint, over-paint, rust, paint loss, years of patination from use and then neglect. Hands are bronze with a brown patina.
