1880s Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Lantern Inkwell

An exceptional, fine and impressive, unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver inkwell in the form of a lantern; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver inkwell has been realistically modelled in the form of a lantern.
The cylindrical body of this impressive Victorian ink bottle is encompassed with vertical pales.
This antique ink bottle is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover, securing with a bayonet style fitment and surmounted with a plain ring loop carrying handle/finial.
This antique inkwell retains the original glass ink bottle.
Condition
This antique ink bottle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the ink bottle and cover, in additional to the part hallmarks to the underside of the base are all very clear.
