19th Century French Louis XV Hand-Painted Blue and White Faience Inkwell

This uniquely shaped ceramic inkwell was sculpted in France, circa 1880. The cartouche-shaped desk essential features a hand-painted black and white center medallion with sailboats, a house and flowers. The blue and white palette along with the painted motifs makes this piece very Delft like in style. The inkwell dish is missing the two glass ink containers, but is in excellent condition otherwise. Measures: 14.5" W x 7" D x 5.5" H.
