Early 19th Century Restauration Gilt Bronze Inkwell, Hive Design


Small, gilt bronze inkwell in the shape of a hive. The inkwell cover is decorated with sheaves of wheat with bees resting on top. The base is adorned with flowers and vegetation. The inkwell has two small receptacles with their lids, one of which has a figure of an eagle on it. circa 1820 Dimensions: W 4.7 in, D 5.9in, H 5.9in. Dimensions: L 12cm, P 15cm, H 15cm.
