1970s Paperweight, Ashtray, Vide-Poche, "Nautico" by Cini&Nils, Italy

About the Item

Marco Melocchi and Franco Bettonica designed the Nautico ashtray paperweight vide-poche deskset in 1975. This design is still part of the MOMA collection. Two of these objects are in brushed steel, with a black acrylic floor and bottom. The white acrylic one was a cheaper, later, slightly bigger version. The three items date back to the year of first manufacturing. They are all original pieces (this design is currently out of production) from the Space Age, stamped on the bottom by the manufacturer.
