Rare and unusual French silver and Shagreen Table magnifier

About

These are super rare. They were made either for the windows of High end Jewelry store windows or for the connoisseur collector . The idea of course was to make anything set under the glass oversized. Typically collectors would use them for coins, rare stamps, manuscripts etc. The reason they are so rare is that most collectors are unwilling to part with them.
