Antique English Victorian Classical Double Diptych Picture Frame

About the Item

Victorian Classical sterling silver picture frame. Made by Henry Mathews in Birmingham in 1900. Two hinged rectangular windows, each in open leafing scrollwork surround; arched top with scrolled cartouche (vacant). Ebonized wood mount with glass, silk lining, and hinged velvet back. Perfect for two ancestral portraits. Fully marked. Dimensions: Each frame: H 11 1/4 x W 8 in. Each window: H 8 x W 5 7/8 in.
