C. 1900 French Art Nouveau Floral Motif Copper Photo / Picture Frame

About the Item

Lovely French Art Nouveau period copper photo / picture frame decorated with floral motif and hammered details. Fits a 4 x 6 photo. Estate of Joan Conway Crancer, daughter of the famous St. Louis painter Fred Conway, and was a passionate art collector, included in her collection were Calder Sculptures, Max Beckman paintings and Roman antiquities. She was actively involved with the Saint Louis Art Museum, where she served for many years as Museum Trustee and member of the Acquisition Committee, and remained Honorary Trustee for the rest of her life.
