A 19th Century Gilded Bronze French Stamp by Auguste Peiffer

This is a fabulous gilded bronze stamp signed by the creator; Auguste Joseph Peiffer (1832-1886). With good weight and depicting a serene woman with doves at breastbone, the piece has the stamp of the Susse Frere Foundry to reverse. The initials of the owner are clearly visible at the base. Auguste Joseph Peiffer exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1865 and 1879.
