Bronze sculpture Polished and patinated bronze sculpture. "Furnace Flowers" by mid century modern Italian sculptor Francesco Somaini (Italy 1926-2005), dated 1963. Mounted on heavy iron base. Provenance: Estate of Edwin and Clara Strasenburgh. The Strasenburgh Planetarium in Rochester NY, was constructed with a donation from the Strasenbugh's. At the entrance to the planetarium is a 25 foot sculpture by Somaini.
