Crusty Yellow-Gold Ceramic TOTEM with Crescent Top, Crawl Glaze, Hand Built

About the Item

This 3-part crusty yellow-gold hand built ceramic TOTEM is a true gift from the "kiln gods", a term ceramicists often use. Here, the result was totally unpredictable and unexpected. The 3 parts were formed by hand individually, hollowed out, then reattached with the feet and fired twice. In this case, a small amount of very old underglaze was found and used with remarkable results which likely won't ever be repeated! The layers of crusty yellow-gold underglaze shows the brown clay body through the surface. Rare, so unique. Truly one of a kind. Signed with Artist's signature chop underneath.
