Hexagon Ceramic Wall Sculpture by Ben Medansky

About

This is a one of a kind ceramic wall sculpture by renowned Los-Angeles artist, Ben Medansky, whose work is in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as well as the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt Design Museum. Medansky has developed collections for Kelly Wearstler, Peter Shier, and the Haas Brothers among others. Composed of earthen material, this Brutalist-style piece is a study on minimal forms. It is an appropriation of aesthetics employed by the mechanical world; an experiment in mimicking strong forms out of a fragile material. The output is a meditation on industrial design, re-mastered in earthen and eternal material. Each piece is handmade in Los Angeles, California. Includes metal cleat for secure and simple hanging.
