Lia Di Leo Sculptor to the Stars Vibrant Aluminium and Marble Sculpture

About the Item

Lia Di Leo was an Italian board American who starred in a few movies before moving on to sculpture. She is known as the sculptor to the stars as she routinely did busts of the A-list Hollywood stars of the 1950s-1960s. This piece is not signed, nor does it have a plaque, but we have sold a similar one in the past. She lived in Palm Springs, so we occasionally get some of her work. This one is probably unique as most of her pieces were single editions or 1 / 2. These pieces are aluminium and been re-painted in the vibrant primary colors. The marble or granite base has some mark nicks and chips.
