Modern Aldo Caron Signed Abstract Bronze Sculpture

About the Item

Aldo Caron bronze sculpture with marble base 'Untitled' signed at the bottom on the back: A. Caron and dated 1975 Originally from Veneto, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera and was a student of Giacomo Manzù and Marino Marini, to whom he was particularly closely tied. From Marini, he learned to appreciate sculpture and bronze’s infinite possibilities. His sculpture soon approached Informal Art, the area where artists such as Mirko and Leoncillo worked at the time, and to which he has stayed firmly tied. He has long lived in Rome where the Ministry of Education gave him a studio in Villa Massimo. In Rome, he met Leoncillo, Emilio Greco, Renato Guttuso, Mazzacurati,Gentilini, Afro and Mirko Basaldella. He was director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Viterbo. He received many public commissions and took part in major exhibitions of the time, including Rome biennials and quadrennials. In 1992, the Gallery of Contemporary Art of Trento put on a wide-ranging anthological exhibition for him. In the early 1990s, he retired to Trentino where he remained until his death. Every item of our Gallery, upon request, is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Sabrina Egidi official Expert in Italian furniture for the Chamber of Commerce of Rome and for the Rome Civil Courts. This artwork is shipped from Rome. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a license for export regardless of the work’s market price.
