Important and impressive, large riveted aluminum plate sculpture by well-known Japanese American artist Yasuhide Kobashi (1931-2004). Created in 1969, this sculpture was purchased from the artist by Dr. Thomas Allen who displayed it outside of his home in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Kobashi is recognized for his prints and sculptures. Nelson Rockerfeller was one of his greatest patrons. Yahsuhide Kobashi's work is included in many institutions, including, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, New York and The Cleveland Museum of Art.
