I was S, is a unique clear and multicolored glass sculpture by the Swedish artist Fredrik Nielsen. The artist literally freehand sculpts his glass to create these monumental artworks. Predominantly experimental, Nielsen’s artworks are made in defiance of what is perceived as perfect. Weighty yet spontaneous, his creations carry marks, almost scars, that are inflicted during their making. What may appear rough and unfinished remain as part of the final piece. Korean Glass 25, is a unique sculpture in clear glass and porcelain that is handblown, painted and cut by the South Korean artist, Choi Keeryong. The interior detail of the piece is handpainted in blue, red and green. Keeryong is based in Scotland. His work is informed by his investigations into the similarities and cultural differences that we all experience in relation to the objects around us in contrast to where we live.
