Unique on 1stdibs and possibly worldwide. This small pair of stylish bookends from circa 1925 is an absolute joy to watch. Both these bookends have the word 'bronze' cast at the bottom of the reeds (see image 3). The kingfisher on the left is looking at the one on the right and the kingfisher on the right looks like he is about to launch himself into the water. . .for lunch. These cold painted bronze kingfishers have slightly faded but beautiful colors and there aerodynamic shape make them even more desirable. This lovely pair is balancing on the bent reeds and they both come with the original, angular marble base. With perfect packaging and free worldwide delivery from our store to your door, this rare, functional and refined pair could be flying your way soon. We look forward to serving you (again).
