Artist Charlotte Anne Newfeld nee Aronson 1950s Stoneware Plate with Horses

About

Created in the 1950s by artist potter and activist, Charlotte Anne Newfeld (nee Aronson), a circular stoneware plate with three stylized grazing horses in relief in a speckled cream color with a background of blue gray. Very sculptural and marked CAA in the clay on the bottom. Newfeld did her graduate school years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and arrived in Chicago in the 1950s. She was born in 1930 and is now 91 years old. Measurements:  1 inch high  x  10 1/2 inches diameter.
