Contemporary Ridge Table Lamp - Geometric Oak & Limestone Base with Linen Shade
By Louis Jobst
Located in London, GB
Ridge Lamp - Zig Zag by Louis Jobst Expressing mass and material quality are common threads found in Jobst’s iconic collection. The Ridge lamp creates a striking silhouette that echo early 20th century design and sculpture. The geometric form of the oak base is contrasted with a smooth face and a ridged textured surface. The oak has been ebonized using a technique that reacts with the tannin in the oak creating the dark surface. The refined element of the oak is contrasted by the solid limestone...

Vide Poche, or Tray w/ Figure of a Bat, Signed B&H, Bradley &Hubbard, circa 1890
By Bradley & Hubbard
Located in Petaluma, CA
We have had a shop since 1974, and we get lots of requests as you can imagine. We sell figural items, such as sculpture, doorstops, trays, etc. We get requests for items with owls, snakes, serpents, griffins, skulls, devils, but the one item that we are asked for all the time and never have, is bats. Many people love bats, and they are so very rare to find in the antique world. Several years ago a bunch of chandeliers and sconces started to appear at the shows we do, they were all new fantasy items unfortunately. This tray is only the 2nd item that I have ever owned with a bat, and we are on the lookout all the time. It is signed B & H on the back in big letters...
