Pair of Vintage Indian Bronze Deer Garden Sculptures with Verdigris Patina

About the Item

A pair of vintage Indian cast bronze deer garden sculptures from the mid 20th century, with detailed coats and verdigris patina. Created in India during the Midcentury period, this pair of garden sculptures attracts the attention with its charming depiction of two stags peacefully resting on the ground. Topped with large antlers, both stags showcase great details in their execution particularly seen on the decorative motif adorning their forehead and their upper body. They both are extending their right paw in the front, the left one delicately curled up. The movement of their head however, differs. One of them is looking straight ahead while the other one shows a graceful movement of the neck. Perhaps were they resting in different directions, a sound suddenly attracting their attention! With their skillful treatment and verdigris patina, this pair of Indian bronze deer sculptures from the mid 20th century will make for a lovely addition to any garden!
