Saint Clement Art Deco Cubist Crackle Glaze Blue Ceramic Seal Sculpture


This stunning French Art Deco crackle-glazed cubist ceramic sculpture is extremely rare both by the color as by the model. Designed and manufactured by Saint-Clement, France and featuring a stylized seal supported by a geometric base. The clean geometric design of this lovely animal makes it very special. A must have in any collection. Incredible glaze color in light cerulean blue. Hallmarks on base read: St Clement, France with 968 which is the model number. The condition is good with some small flaws inherent to a period piece. We have had this piece in our private collection for the past 30 years, we have never seen another similar. Measurements: 11.44 in. wide (29 cm) x 6.50 in. deep (16.5 cm) x 10.25 in. high (26 cm).
