Vintage 1950s Danish Mid-Century Modern Kay Bojesen " The Hippopotamus" oak figurine. Kay designed in 1955 because he needed a device to store his pencils. This hippo desk accessory or sculpture features an adjustable jaw allowing you to hold your pencil or pen. Stamped on the bottom Kay Bojesen Copyright Denmark. In fine condition, recently applied oil.
