Vintage Greater Kudu Horns on Sculptural Gesso Taxidermy Form

About the Item

Vintage Greater Kudu Horns on Sculptural Taxidermy Form. A striking vintage greater kudu shoulder mount, featuring a magnificent set of deeply spiraled horns with multiple twists - the hallmark of this iconic African antelope species. The piece has acquired a beautifully weathered, bleached patina over time, with the form showing natural cracking and a soft, driftwood-like texture across the head form. This aged surface lends the mount an almost sculptural, bone-and-wood quality that reads as much like a piece of art as a traditional trophy mount. The horns remain their rich, deep growing coloring and dramatic scale, creating a bold graphic silhouette well suited to a gallery wall, design studio, lodge interiors, or any space looking for a striking statement piece with old-world character. The aged patina is consistent with genuine age and adds rather than detracts from the piece's character - a true one-of-a-kind decorative object with history. Vintage/ antique condition with expected wear consistent with age - surface cracking, patina, and natural fading to the cape as shown in photos. Sold as-is.
