Pair of Italian 19th Century Roman Senator Busts of Repoussé Copper or Wood

About the Item

An amazing pair of Italian busts depicting unknown Roman Senators. This pair of Italian busts from the 19th century are composed of repoussé copper (a technique in which the metal is beaten or plated) over wood. These Roman busts have a gorgeous patina and are raised upon a round socle which is adorned with a floral motif. This exquisite pair of Italian busts would be quite stately flanking a living room or foyer on a pair of columns or tables.
