Golden Orange Citrine Crystal Cluster with Stalactite Flower and Calcite
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Bringing rare Stalactite Flower formations covered by dazzling Citrine Druzy and Calcite, this Citrine Cluster exemplifies a Natural Artwork that is ready to become the centerpiece of your collection, or the energetic source of your home decor. Stalactite Flower Rosettes are the main characteristics of this Citrine, resembling blooming orange flowers from within with the high-grade druzy simulating their petals. The rich orange seen in this citrine is usually referred to as Golden Orange Citrine, a warm, sun-like color that radiates from the perfectly polished points. It formed in a rarely seen aesthetical shape, where two flowers formed in its top and a flower with calcite inclusions can be seen on the bottom, we decided to keep it as natural as we could, only emphasizing its beauty. Please check the pictures and the video, and feel free to message us in case you have any questions or particular requests. ▫️ Citrine Cluster with Stalactite Flower Rosettes (Heated Amethyst) ▫️ Color: Golden Orange ▫️ Size (With Base): -- 1.4 Kg - 3.1 lb -- 130 mm. - 5.1 in. French Terracotta Sculpture Nude Woman "Premiere Faute" - by LAMI - Art Nouveau
By Stanislas Lami
Located in Beuzevillette, FR
Female nude in terracotta. Signed "St. Lami" on the base. Stanislas Lami is a French sculptor. Stamp mark "Terracotta - R. D'ARLY Paris". This work inspires purity and delicacy. The sculpture represents a kneeling naked woman, the features are fine and pleasant. The work is neat and delicate. The position of the woman calls for calm and tranquility. Our terracotta proof is a reduction of Stanislas Lami's marble entitled "Première Faute" which earned him the second medal at the Salon of 1891. The work represents a young woman kneeling, her arms modestly covering her face with closed eyes. At the dawn of the 20th century, this elegant statuette was part of the symbolist movement and announced the Art Nouveau movement. This beautiful work was included in the second edition of the artist's catalog raisonné. Related literature: Grégoire de Thoury, Stanislas Lami (1858-1944), catalog raisonné of sculptures, Paris, 2014, model listed under number FA12. More widely known for his masterful literary work, Stanilas Lami is an artist as much as a scholarly amateur. Son of the sculptor Alphonse Lami, grandson of the neoclassical painter Bidauld, son-in-law of the art dealer Charles Sedelmeyer, he benefited all his life from an environment favorable to the promotion and commissioning of his written or sculpted works. While he wrote his famous dictionaries of sculptors of the French School throughout his career, over around forty years, he also exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes français between 1882 and 1942. Wonderful decorative piece. Beautiful dimensions. France - Art Nouveau - 1891 Stanislas Lami, born in 1858 in Paris and died in 1944, was a French sculptor and art historian. He is the grandson of landscape painter François-Xavier Bidault and the son of sculptor Alphonse Lami. Some of his works are kept in museums, especially in Spain. In Paris, at the Musée d'Orsay, there is a marble sculpture of the Danish Dog...

Antique, New and Vintage Sculptures

Styling your home with vintage, new and antique sculptures means adding a touch that can meaningfully transform the space. By introducing a sculptural work as a decorative finish to any interior, you’re making a statement, whether you tend toward the dramatic or prefer to keep things casual with modest, understated art.

A single, one-of-a-kind three-dimensional figurative sculpture mounted on your dining room wall is a guaranteed conversation piece, while a trio of abstract works arranged on your living room bookshelves can add spontaneity to the collection of first-edition novels or artist monographs you’re displaying as well as draw attention to them. Figurative sculptures are representational works that portray a specific person, animal or object. And while decorating with busts, which are sculpted or cast figurative works, hasn’t exactly topped the list of design trends every year, busts are back. According to designer Timothy Corrigan, “They give humanity in a way that a more abstract sculpture can’t give.” Abstract sculptures, on the other hand, are not meant to show something specific. Instead, they invoke a mood or scene without directly stating what they are portraying.

Busts made of stone or metal may not seem like a good fit for your existing decor. Fortunately, there are many ways for a seemingly incongruous piece to fit in with the rest of your room’s theme. You can embrace a dramatic piece by making it the focal point of the room, or you can choose to incorporate several elements made out of the same material to create harmony in your space. If an antique or more dramatic piece doesn’t feel like you, why not opt for works comprising plastic, fiberglass or other more modern materials?

When incorporating sculpture into the design of your home — be it the playful work of auction hero and multimedia visionary KAWS, contemporary fiber art from Connecticut dealer browngrotta arts or still-life sculpture on a budget — consider proper lighting, which can bring out the distinctive aspects of your piece that deserve attention. And make sure you know how the size and form of the sculpture will affect your space in whole. If you choose a sculpture with dramatic design elements, such as sharp angles or bright colors, for example, try to better integrate this new addition by echoing those elements in the rest of your room’s design.

Get started on decorating with sculpture now — find figurative sculptures, animal sculptures and more on 1stDibs today.
