A fine & large 19th century bronze study of Bacchus resting on a bountiful barrel of grapes holding a lute with grape & vine in his hair, an unkempt beard with crossed leg and an outstretched finger. This splendid bronze has a wonderfully rich patina and is signed F Duret (1804 – 1865)
