19th Century French Hand Carved Patinated Elm Monk Sculpture

About the Item

Decorate an office or a bar with this exquisite wooden carved statue. Crafted in Southern France circa 1850, the large fruitwood figurative sculpture features a monk in traditional cassock and sandals holding a vegetable basket and a box in his left hand. The figure has wonderful facial details including a smiling face and jovial expression. The sculpture is in excellent condition with a richly patinated walnut finish. Measures: 6.25" W x 5" D x 17.5" H.
