About

Art Deco sculpture by Jean Ortis of a "Crouching Female Nude" with a beautiful dark green patina. The bronze was cast in the famous Parisian foundry Susse Frères where Ortis had a collaborative agreement. The sculpture is signed "J. ORTIS", "Cire perdue" and "Susse Frères Paris" and also the foundry stamp. Jean Ortis was from Spain but worked all his life in Paris. His work is to compare to Aristide Maillol.
