About the Item

Ornate openwork frame featuring stylised animals and floral elements in a whimsical geometric arrangement, crafted from cast brass. Manufactory: WERKSTAETTE HAGENAUER WIEN / WORKSHOP HAGENAUER VIENNA Carl Hagenauer founded the workshop in 1898, mainly producing the traditional Viennese bronzes. After his death in 1928, his children Karl (1898-1956), Franz and Grete took over the business. Karl Hagenauer was responsible for the management of the company and switched the production to small, expressive brass figures that continued the tradition in a modern form.
