Origin of manufactory: French bronze manufactory / Paris Dating of manufacture: circa 1930-1935 Created by: French sculptor Pierre Le Faguays (1892 Nantes/France - 1962 Paris) Material: Bronze / original antique dark patina and red marble base with white marbling Signature: Incised inscription at upper side of base existing: 'Pierre Le Faguays' Detailed description: This stunning Bronze figurine, a female lady dancer seizing rod of Bacchus was designed by the French sculptor Pierre Le Faguays . - The figurine - based on flat bronze plinth - is only clad in a loin cloth blown by the wind. The lady nude balances on leg whereas the right leg is bent / figurine's upper body is turned sidewards. There are some indications of tribute / homage to Greek God of Wine, Bacchus, existing: The rod seized by the figurine - it is decorated with vine tendrils - as well as those wine leaves which cover the lady dancer's loins. Size: Total height: 57 cm / 22.44 inches Height of figurine only: 45 cm / 17.71 inches Weight: 7.34 kg / 16.18 Pounds Very good condition / there aren't any damages existing.
