Composition of a Plaster Skull Decorated with Butterflies

About the Item

A modern approach to taxidermy with this plastered skull covered with shells of green beetles. The helmet-like covering is made from the Blue Morpho butterfly, and they are known to be one of the giant butterflies in the world. Fun fact: the butterfly’s outer wings are brownish and have six ‘eyes.’ This makes the predators believe they’re more impressive than they are. The plastered skull dates from circa 21st century and stands on a wooden pedestal.
